Salam All,
For several years, I have been keeping a running list of halal places to eat, shop, and pray throughout the DFW area. It started as a personal tool. Whenever I heard about a new spot, I added it to a Google Maps list so I could easily see what was nearby. Over time, friends and family asked for recommendations, so I began sharing the map with them. They shared it with others. Before long, it became clear that the community needed something like this, especially since many online lists are outdated or incomplete.
Today, the maps are easy to access and continue to grow. But with new restaurants, musullahs and stores opening regularly, it is still easy to miss something new. That is where this newsletter comes in.
Halal Dallas Weekly will provide short, useful updates every week or so. You can expect things:
A featured halal restaurant
Notes on what is worth trying
Highlights of new openings across DFW
Occasional community and business spotlights
The goal is simple: make it easier to find good halal food in our area without searching endlessly or guessing what is actually worth visiting.
I would also like to thank two people who help keep the map up to date: Samad Jawaid and Hashir Mohiuddin. May Allah reward them.
