Did someone say Smashbros AND smashburgers?!

A departure from our usual new burger joint, 8-Bit Bites pulls you in for the food and keeps you around for just one more round of gaming. The small franchise has finally made its way to Dallas, bringing a concept that feels genuinely fresh: video games built straight into the dine-in experience.
Each table comes with its own console and a big library of titles. You’ll find plenty of old favorites along with some newer options on the Switch 2. Plan to linger a little longer, maybe with a cereal milkshake in hand, as you button-mash your way through friendly battles.
An Afghani family’s taste of home

What do you do when you can’t find a restaurant that captures the true flavors of your homeland? You open your own family-run spot. This one is built on the recipes the owners grew up with, and they’re hoping to give DFW a real taste of Afghani cooking.
They’re still in a soft opening, but the place already feels like a welcome addition to the local scene. Whether you settle into the traditional floor seating or choose a regular table, make time for their skewered kababs. They’re the clearest expression of what the family hoped to share.
What’s next: The space next door is being renovated for a Halal grocery store that features all the freshest ingredients they use in their cooking and more!
Escape to Jordan, at least for a few hours

Khashoka feels like stepping into a small corner of Amman. The falafel, shawarma, and mansaf taste straight-up authentic, and the desserts land with that “taste just like mom’s” feeling. You’ll experience that classic Jordanian hospitality vibe as soon as you walk in.
For a new spot, they’re already hitting strong. It gets busy so try to make a reservation with Opentable before you make plans to go. Dallas finally got a Jordanian kitchen with heart!
